All about Kestrels
We are a lively group of year 2 children. We love to share our ideas with each other and especially enjoy hands on learning. We are keen to try out new things and to develop our resilience when things don't quite go to plan. Our class motto is 'Making mistakes shows we are busy learning'.

My name is Mrs Blunden and I have been a teacher at Wroxton for quite some time now. In fact, I have had the privilege of teaching the siblings and even some parents of children who have been in my class in the past!
I am thrilled to be working with Year Two this year and am looking forward to our upcoming projects. I love to see how they become more confident in their own abilities during the year and it is always wonderful to see those 'lightbulb' moments when they are so proud of grasping a new concept. |

PhonicsPhonics is taught daily in groups, working on a specific set of sounds according to the ability of the child. Each session has a distinct structure following Read Write Inc (RWI). The children take home a RWI book each week to re-read and develop fluency.

Our Book Focus
Our focus text this term will be 'Lizzy and the Cloud by the Fan Brothers. We will be using this to write a guide book to help prospective owners to ensure their cloud's survival.
