I have been a teacher for 25 years working in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire in a wide variety of schools. My passion for learning is rooted in my own education when as a young child I attended a variety of different schools due to my father being in the RAF. This led me to really appreciate and understand the difference teachers and schools can make to a child’s life and when I left University I wanted to be part of making that difference to children myself.
I am incredibly proud to be Executive Headteacher at St Mary's and Wroxton, a position I took up in September 2023. I have been Headteacher at St Mary's since September 2015 and before that at 2 other Oxfordshire schools and also having spent 5 years working for the Local Authority supporting schools facing all sorts of challenges. The team here at Wroxton are second to none and work tirelessly to offer our children a rich and varied educational experience, never accepting second best. We have lots of fun and I love celebrating our children's success with them. It is true to say I am lucky enough to have the best job in the world! |
I have been teaching now for over 18 years. I am especially delighted to be part of the learning journey of such wonderfully enthusiastic children! My specific responsibilities include coordinating Special Educational Needs across school and I also have a key role in Safeguarding.
One of the most enjoyable and rewarding features of my job is getting to know our families and working together to support the learning and development of our pupils. |
