Laura joined the Local Governing Board as a Foundation Governor in 2019. She is retired but comes from a background of both the voluntary sector and the legal sector, which includes some years working in the Family Court. For the last three years or so she has been Chair of the Resources Subcommittee, and, vice chair of Governors. For a few months in 2023 she was interim Chair of Governors. She looks after Health and Safety in the school.

Sara has been a teacher for over 20 years and has the privilege of serving our
school community as the Executive Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo.. She has particular interests in Inclusion, Special Educational Needs and Safeguarding. Sara enjoys coming to school each day and being part of a team that delivers high quality learning experiences for all our children, enabling them to flourish and grow as happy and fulfilled individuals. |
Rick is a Research and Development Engineer and works at the Department of Physics of Oxford University.
He lives in Wroxton and, although now adults, both his children attended Wroxton. He has been involved with the school ever since. Rick believes that every child is important and that they each deserve the best possible start to their educational careers. He also believes that they should be encouraged to achieve to the best of their abilities, whether that be in academic or practical subjects. Rick was appointed a Foundation governor at Wroxton in April 2011 |
Steve has lived in Wroxton for the last two years with his wife and has recently retired. Before his retirement he spent over 20 years in the Armed Forces and after that qualified as an accountant which he was employed for 20 years in this profession before retiring.
His aim as a governor is to ensure that all the children at Wroxton primary have access to all the opportunities, resources and support available in order for them to reach their full potential before moving to secondary education. Steve was appointed to the board in June 2023 |
Helen is a Strategic Communications Manager at Oxford University and was previously Head of Communications for the educational charity Cumberland Lodge. She has a MA in Geography and has worked in the private and non-profit sectors, including in the arts and culture, sustainable development, education and retail sectors. Helen also spent a couple of years volunteering as a teaching assistant in a Government-run school whilst living in Chennai, India.
Helen lives in Drayton and has two children at Wroxton. She is a member of the Friends of Wroxton and has a particular interest in supporting music and the arts, outdoor learning and a diverse curriculum. Helen joined the governing board as a parent governor in October 2021. She is a member of the Standards Committee. |
