World food tasting

This week we have been exploring France - writing postcards from Paris, singing (and even teaching the whole school today!) a French greeting song, playing ‘un à dix’ maths games, learning the vocabulary for different colours and using them to create Monet garden inspired paintings. Whilst Year 1 identified the French word for different foods and categorised them using ‘J’aime’ and ‘J'aime ne pas’, Reception chose food for their own petit-déjeuner plate.
To culminate our ‘Festivals around the World’ project, today Eagles tasted croissants and pain au chocolat and sampled fresh and dried fruit grown in Africa or the Caribbean. Do you recognise them all?
