Precious lost toy.

We found a bear with a hamper of beach goodies and made predictions about where he was, why he might be there, who the owner was and where they might be. We thought he was old because he was worn and had different stuffing and joints to our soft teddies.
Next we analysed the words “The Sea Saw” and realised it wasn’t the right spelling for the playground equipment.  We concluded it might relate to spotting something at the seaside. We discovered they were the title of a book. Looking at the cover and next page we predicted the old bear gets left at the beach.
We shared our own cuddly toy with the class - revealing its name, where and when we got it. We created labels for our soft toys to ensure they didn’t get lost whilst we played board games and explored the toys in our Toy Museum.
