Fixer's blanket

In DT we designed blankets to keep Fixer snug whilst his wings recovered. The class agreed the blankets needed to be warm and flexible, strong but soft and contain a colourful image that Fixer and/or Izzy would relate to. We each chose to use a permanent join of either sewing or gluing. We created prototypes and then peer and self evaluated them against our design brief. We thought of improvements to make them even better. We can’t wait to share them and our other ‘colour magic’ work with our families and Wroxton school pupils in Squirrels’ class worship this Friday 13th February
