Chopping, juicing fruit or not?!

Eagles final DT challenge is to design and make our own smoothies. Today, using our prior science, PSED and DT knowledge we used botanical criteria to categorise produce into fruit or not fruit, discovered how to hygienically and safely chop peppers and strawberries and how to manually juice citrus fruits. We had the option of sampling any / all of the food we had prepared. Strawberries were a big hit, 3 children tried peppers for the first time and liked them and the facial expressions reveal most people’s feelings regarding lime, lemon and orange juice!
