Online safety

Online Safety is about staying safe on the internet. Internet enabled devices such as computers, tablets and smart phones offer lots of new opportunities but also present new risks which parents and children need to be aware of. Children are encouraged to always follow the SMART rules when using the internet.

Online safety at school
At Wroxton, as part of the PSHE and computing curriculum, children learn about all aspects of internet safety. The school regularly revisit the importance of staying safe online.

All new children, staff and parents also read and sign our acceptable use agreement, which details acceptable behaviour online and steps to take if worries arise regarding online safety. This agreement, along with our overall online safety policy, can be found below.

There are many places to find help and support in dealing with issues online. In school we proactively filter internet access to ensure that the children are not exposed to any inappropriate or adult material.

If you are a customer of BT, Sky, TalkTalk or Virgin Media you can follow this guide to set-up parental controls on your internet access

Please browse the websites and links below which provide help and support for both parents and children.
