All about Kestrels
We are the year 2 children of Wroxton school. We enjoy learning in all its forms. We are developing strong relationships with one another, allowing us to support and encourage in a safe space.

Our Teacher

My name is Mrs Ruffle and I feel it is a true pleasure to be part of the children's learning journey. I have now been teaching over 20 years and still enjoy seeing the joy children get from over coming hurdles and all being successful in different ways.

When I'm not teaching I spend time with my 2 children and family. We like to go out for walks or out on the bikes. I love to read and will try to find a little bit of time each day to read my book. I also love cooking and baking.

Phonics

Phonics is taught daily in groups, working on a specific set of sounds according to the ability of the child. Each session has a distinct structure following Read Write Inc (RWI). The children take home a RWI book each week to re-read and develop fluency.
Our Book Focus

This term we will be looking at A Walk in London by S Rubbino.
